There is so much going on in our world right now, so much loss around us. Covid 19 is running rampant around the globe. The people of Afghanistan have lost hope in their government, are evacuating in droves, fearing life and livelihood. Mother Nature continues to cleanse herself of the toxins, creating havoc in her wake with hurricanes, fires, volcano eruptions, and earthquakes.

So it's no wonder we may be feeling a little unsettled.

When I find myself overwhelmed by the many issues of the world, I turn off the TV and find a quiet place to be present. I try to focus on the positive outcomes instead of fear offered by the media And my mind or ego. I focus on my surroundings, the beauty of nature its wonders in my backyard in the present moment. I feel gratitude for the blessings in my life, including my pups, my wife, my family, and my home. History will continue to repeat itself until we learn how to love and care for ourselves and our earth. The choices we make as individuals will impact our global community.

Growing up in my family, I learned that my decisions and choices would impact my family and the larger community. I learned that with these decisions would come accountability. At the core of my being, I knew Kindness and compassion toward myself and others would benefit the greater good. Our parents, grandparents and ancestors have lived within this turmoil before. Their Endurance and belief in something greater than themselves helped them achieve the many blessings we have before us today. This week our affirmations will focus on Endurance. I will also post prayers for each of us and our world.

May your week be filled with love and peace!
